FAQ
Why does my Switch only charge at an angle?
Usually a worn or torn USB-C port. We replace the port. If it still will not charge, the charge IC is next.
Is this the same as a dock issue?
Dock-only no-picture is often HDMI / dock, not the Switch charge port. Text photos and we will sort which path.

Every Switch form factor
Original, Lite, and OLED
The original Switch uses a detachable Joy-Con controller and a 6.2-inch LCD screen in a plastic housing. The Lite is a fixed 5.5-inch panel with a simpler controller layout. The OLED model swaps in a brighter 7-inch display and a redesigned internal layout that changes how the motherboard and hinge are accessed.
All three share the same failure clusters: a charge port that works when you tilt the console but stops when you plug it in straight, a Joy-Con that drifts or disconnects mid-game, a screen that flickers or goes black after a drop, a hinge that creaks or cracks from repeated folding, and a TCON board that fails and shows a white or purple screen. We have parts for all three generations and do the work at the bench, not by mail, so most jobs are same-day.
What to check before you text us
Two minutes saves a trip
Power it on
If it will not turn on at all, note whether the charge port clicks, whether any LED lights up, and whether you have tried a different cable. That tells us whether the fault is the port, the battery, or the board.
Check the Joy-Cons
If a controller drifts, remove it and see if the stick still moves freely with the controller detached. That separates a stick assembly problem from a motherboard issue.
Text the model and issue
One message: which Switch (original, Lite, or OLED), what is wrong, and a photo if it is a crack. We will quote it and tell you if it is same-day before you drive in.
Switch repair questions people ask
My Switch will not charge. Is that the port or the battery?
It can be either. A corroded or loose charge port is the most common cause, especially if the console is older or has been dropped. A swollen or dead battery is the second most common. We test both separately so you know exactly what is failing and what the repair costs before we open the unit.
Will I lose my games or save data if you repair it?
No. Screen, port, and controller repairs do not touch the eMMC storage where your saves and downloaded games live. If a storage board is involved, we will image the data first and restore it after the repair so nothing is lost.
Can you fix a cracked Switch screen?
Yes. All three generations: the original 6.2-inch LCD, the Lite 5.5-inch panel, and the OLED 7-inch display. The OLED screen is laminated and requires careful separation, but we have the tools and adhesive for it. Same-day for most models.
My Joy-Con drifts. Is that fixable or do I need new controllers?
Often fixable. A drift is usually a worn stick cap or a failed joystick PCB inside the Joy-Con. We replace the stick assembly and recalibrate. If the controller is severely worn or the internal spring is broken, we will tell you honestly that new controllers are the better call and point you to the right source.
How much does a Switch charge port repair cost?

Do you repair the Switch OLED separately from the original?
Yes, and the price reflects that. The OLED uses a different display assembly and a slightly different internal layout. We stock parts for both and will quote the correct one based on which Switch you have.
