FAQ

How much is MacBook repair?

Quoted by model and part — screen, battery, keyboard, trackpad, or board. Text the exact model and symptoms for a firm quote.

Will I lose my files?

No. Display, battery, and port work does not touch your drive. For board-level work we image your drive first where possible. We still recommend a backup.

Do you repair Apple Silicon (M1–M4) MacBooks?

Yes — M1, M2, M3, and M4 Air and Pro models, plus Intel MacBooks of every year we can source parts for.

What if my MacBook battery is swollen?

Stop charging it. A swollen battery is a fire risk. Text us — we perform safe swollen battery removal and replacement under the 90-day warranty.

How long does MacBook repair take?

Most screens and batteries turn around same day; board-level work takes 2-4 days. You approve the firm quote first.

Do you take mail-in MacBooks?

Yes — tracked mail-in from anywhere in the contiguous USA, with free return shipping on completed repairs.

Apple Silicon vs Intel

Both platforms, same bench

Apple Silicon (M1 through M4) MacBooks integrate the GPU and memory on the same die, which means a failed component often means a board-level repair rather than a simple part swap. We have the rework station and parts pipeline for those jobs. Intel MacBooks from 2015 onward use discrete or integrated graphics with soldered or socketed RAM, so screen, battery, and keyboard replacements are straightforward and done same-day.

Whatever the chip, the failure modes cluster the same way: dead batteries that no longer hold charge, swollen cells that push up the case, screens that flicker or go black after a drop, keyboards that double-type or stick, and trackpads that stop registering multi-finger gestures. We diagnose first, quote second, and fix third. You approve the price before we open the lid.

Turnaround

Same-day when we have the part

Most MacBook repairs are done the same business day. Screen and battery swaps are the fastest; keyboard and trackpad jobs usually take a few hours. Board-level work on Apple Silicon boards runs 2 to 4 days. You will know the timeline before we start, and if a part is on backorder we will say so and offer a loaner plan when one is available.
  • Free diagnosis. You get the number before any work starts.
  • Quote by text or phone. No obligation, no pressure.
  • Most jobs done same-day. Board-level work 2-4 days.
  • Warranty on parts and labor. If it fails, we make it right.

MacBook questions people ask

Do you repair MacBooks under Apple warranty?

If your MacBook is still under Apple warranty or AppleCare, Apple will cover it. We handle out-of-warranty units, older models Apple has retired, and any device Apple will not service. If it is still covered, we will point you there instead of taking your money twice.

Is my data safe during repair?

Yes. We work on the hardware, not your files. For storage or logic board work we can image your drive first so your data is backed up before anything is replaced. You get your data back on the repaired unit.

What about a swollen battery pushing up the case?

That is a safety issue, not just a convenience one. Bring it in as soon as you see the case lifting or the trackpad getting hard to press. We replace the cell and inspect the surrounding logic for any swelling-related damage before you leave.

Can you fix a MacBook that will not turn on at all?

Dead-on-arrival is common and usually fixable. It is often a failed battery, a dead power button, a corroded MagSafe connector, or a short on the board. We diagnose the root cause before quoting, so you are not paying to swap parts and find the real problem is still there.

Do you work on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air?

Both, from the early Retina Pros through the current M4 Airs. Screen types differ (LED vs OLED, MagSafe vs USB-C charging), so the price varies by model. Text us the exact model and we will give you a firm number.

How much does a MacBook screen replacement cost in Cape Coral?

It depends on the model. A non-Retina 13-inch screen is the lowest; an OLED MacBook Pro 16-inch is the highest. Text (941) 313-7695 with your model number and we will quote it in a few minutes. No hidden fees, no "while we have it open" surprises.
