PS5 Controller Stick Drift Repair | Hall-Effect Upgrade | Chip's Tech Repair

Stick drift is the #1 killer of PS5 controllers — the DualSense thumbsticks wear and start registering movement when you're not touching them. Most shops just sell you a new controller. We fix yours at the component level.

The Problem: Analog Stick Drift

OEM DualSense thumbsticks use carbon-film potentiometers. Over time they wear, collect dust, and lose calibration — causing your camera to drift, characters to walk on their own, or aim to pull in one direction.

Our Fix: Hall-Effect Sticks

We replace both analog sticks with hall-effect modules. Hall-effect sticks use magnetic sensing instead of carbon contact — they don't wear the same way, so they resist drift far longer than OEM sticks. Includes full calibration after install.

What We Do

  • Replace both OEM thumbsticks with hall-effect modules
  • Full recalibration after install
  • OEM DualSense only (V1 and V2 / Edge)
  • From $59 with mail-in or Cape Coral drop-off

FAQ

Do you repair PS4 or Xbox controllers?

PS5 DualSense only right now. Text us if you have another controller — we'll let you know if it's a workable repair.

Will this fix my drifting left stick?

Yes — hall-effect replacement fixes drift on either or both sticks. We replace both at the same time so they wear evenly.

OEM controllers only?

We repair Sony OEM DualSense controllers (standard V1, V2, and Edge). Third-party controllers are case-by-case — text your model.

Mail-in or drop-off?

Both. Cape Coral drop-off or free-return mail-in anywhere in the contiguous USA. Mail-in intake form →
